Celebrating Joy in Preschool: Embracing the Happiness of Adar!

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

This week we started learning about Purim. We know this is a celebration of the miracles Gd made over 2000 years ago for the Jewish people, ensuring the survival of the Jewish people despite a horrible decree. In Shushan Town there lived King Achashverosh, Queen Esther, Mordechai, Vashti, and a mean man named Haman.

We have been having a royal good time decorating Queen crowns for our letter of the week, Qq.

We enjoyed playing with jewels and gems in a sensory bin and dressing up in costumes.

We mixed fancy potions for our science experiment.

To start the month of Adar with extra sweetness and joy, we have been making jam to put inside our homemade hamantaschen.

We loved coming to school in pajamas today in the spirit of Purim!

We also practiced drawing our Hebrew letter of the week, Ayin, in shaving cream and enjoyed splatter painting in honor of the artist Jackson Pollock.

We always love music with Benny! We ended our fabulous week with Tae Kwon Do, and Coach Anthony is the best! Shabbos party and challah baking each week bring us into Shabbat with joy and excitement.
